I have just upgraded from Microstation V8i to Connect. In V8 you can enter commands i.e. 34 (rotate) using the numbers along the top of the keyboard and/or the numerical keypad on the right hand end of the keyboard. Now in Connect I cannot use the numerical keypad as described, however I can use the numerical keypad to enter line distances etc. I have played with the obvious num lock key.User > Preferences > Position Mapping > Position Mapping is ticked...Is there a setting which allows the use of the numerical keypad as described above?
Of course you can create your menus and respective shortcuts, but just for those simple direct "old" shortcut you can activate the old tasks navigation: communities.bentley.com/.../24481.how-to-get-the-tasks-dialog-visible-in-microstation-connect-edition Here you can get a taste of the new possiblities: communities.bentley.com/.../337329 Regards

As you are probably aware the default numbers and letters are defined for Position Mapping within thwe section you have already noted. Not sure whether you would find this useful but you can use F2 & F3 keys to temporarily display what has been defined here. The following page in the Help Documentation might assist. file:///C:/ProgramData/Bentley/Documentation/MicroStation/10.3.0/en/htm/GUID-27D90D66-052F-8D41-8BF4-94C03071A7A8.html?q=F2

Daniel, did you tried put MS_TASKNAVIGATION_CONFIGURATION = 1 in Configuration Variables and then use Position Mapping in Preferences:
Are you on a laptop or desktop? Did you check if Num Lock is ON or OFF? It has to be ON.
