Good Afternoon,
I'm having trouble resolving the display order issue depicted below, specifically the leader/terminator part of the callouts. As you can see the text is displaying properly (in front of the grayscaled survey), but the leaders/terminators are plotted behind the grayscale. I double checked the update sequence and adjusted some display style settings as suggested in other posts, but nothing seems to be working. Another sheet in my plan set is not experiencing this issue, but I can't determine the difference between the two. They're both using the same pen table so I doubt that's the source of the problem. I'm using microstation v8i select series 3. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Colin

Unknown said:Sounds like the Reference is displaying after the Active file. In the reference dialog, go to Settings > Update Sequence, and adjust your Active file to be the first to display (top of the listing) > OK and see the effect.
That's not right George the update sequence settings displays the order that the "paint / ink "is laid down on paper
ie first entry is the first coat
and last entry is the top or final coat
so in Colin's case the annotations are in the active file and we want that to be on top of the reference survey file so the first coat is the top entry or first should be survey reference file and active drawing the last entry
see my example screen shot the active file will be printed over the top of the contours ref file...

But it does matter Tim ....in his reply poster quoted below .... the active file is 2d and ref file is 3d
The references are 3d, but the file I'm plotting from is 2d. All the reference files have a priority of 0. All levels in reference files and active design file appear to have a priority of 0. Same with the elements.
In my example post I emulated his senario active file 2d with text and 3d ref file , I didnt use priority ( I never bother with priority with mixed 3d and 2d files) just the old school settings sequencing forcing the active last always works with this senario...
