Hello
a long time ago ( few or more years ) as i remember - someone from us ( communities ) make a script vba or something
to make a surface from 2d text on map ( for example 31.2 , 32.4 etc ... )
Maybe someone remember this or can help ? I need to make sufrace from points but there are 2d
As i remember this script put text on level from text and than connect it to mesh ?
Martin
I tried another approach just for fun.
You can generate a report for the desired text element.
Use X and Y coordinates and text for columns and export to csv. If you want to import the text as well add a copy of the text field.
This file could then be imported using Import Coordinates (XYX Text) and used to create a mesh (remember to delete the first row which contains column names!).

But if you have tousend of this points ? You need to add height manually
Thank you Jon and Krister very much. Works with some problems but finally i have a mesh :)
In add Text string column you forget that you need to choose Text String from properties ( to have height from text )
Than i export from excel to csv but not working ( process give errors ) - only way was export to txt with spaces
In fact - it would be nice if Bentley can do this directly in Microstation :) Mesh from text values
Jon another try but i miss something - i have strange result using reports - please check my DGN

Is that what you see when you export a Report as CSV? Your Polish locale is affecting the formatting. When I open Test2D.xlsx it looks OK.
Test2D.xlsx
This is what I see when I run a Report in UK English locale...

Thank you Jon for checking. I will answer after weekend cos i have urgent "trip" right now.
Don't understand - you mean dots or comma ? All looks the same - X Y Z have the same results.
I can change dots and comma in Excel. I change the columns to X Y and Text String to Z and move as 3rd column but after import 3d points looks strange as you see in my dgn
Ok i changed language to ENG and export once again. Than i correct text file ( spaces between ) and looks ok.
Thanks
