Hatch Pattern Cell

I am creating a cell pattern.  I have been successful with some patterns and not with others.  I have a stone pattern I am trying to create and it is stack the pattern correctly, however it is creating a gap so it doesn't look continuous.  The column and row spacing is set to 0:0 when placing the hatch pattern.

  • Could we get some screenshots of your issue or, even better, a dgn which is experiencing the problem or the actual cell library with the problem cell? I'd like to look at the issue before giving a potential cause. These links might also help you.

  • I can't say for certain without looking at the files themselves, but it looks like you might be experiencing the issue described in the 'communities.bentley.com/.../10386.gap-between-cell-elements-in-a-pattern' wiki article.

You may need to re-create the proper range for the cell as instructed in the article. This will most likely require some trial and error, so be vigilant!

Also, you say you are placing a 'hatch pattern', but I assume you are using the 'Pattern Area' tool as the hatch pattern tool only places hatch (diagonal lines) patterns and does not utilize cells.

    Cheers,

    Erik M.
