We need a way to set and lock the display/edit order of tags in V10 and v8i. I've come across references to a defect report but never a fix or conclusion. please do not respond that tags are going away in V10 and to use item types. Item types DO NOT do the same thing as tags. We have title blocks set up and need to set the tabbing order for them to make sense. Right now they are different for every user.

Here's one more option.
If you have access to a programmer who can write MicroStation VBA, then you can design your own dialog for editing those title blocks. You're in charge of the user interface, and can specify whatever order you want.

You can't rename one that has already been assigned, but you can for the future one's you assign.
You do it in the Tag Sets dialog. There are options to Rename the Sets and Edit the Tags. But this is for future assignments.
For the next person that has trouble with tags and getting them in the right order in the tag editor, the only way I was able to fix my problem was to change the name of each tag, prefixed with a sequential number specifying the order that it should appear. Now with the tag editor we are able to tab through the tags in a logical order (all 89 of them). this works in v8i and connect (so far fingers crossed) I hope Bentley doesn't get rid of tags until they get something else this good to replace it.
