Hi,
Is there a way to use the delete duplicates tool without MS deleting every duplicated element?
An example would be if i had 5 lines of the same length on top of each other. I want delete duplicates to delete 4 of the 5 leaving me with just one to work with. Almost as if one of the lines is considered the original and the other four are duplicates.
Josh
I'm using SS3

Hi Erik,
I've attached a sample dgn and screen shots of my cleanup tool window settings.
The line work you see is from a dwg that has been merged.
My question following your reply is what defines an element as 'the original'?

So you have M-Sta. "Selecting" (not Deleting) the Duplicate elements (under "Cleanup Actions") that it finds! Then You decide what to do with the Duplicate Elements (i.e. Delete, Move, ???). M-Sta. would not be (Selecting) changing the original element, just the duplicates it finds in View 1 (Process View 1). If levels are off in View 1 it will not find them.
The Duplicates tab will tell M-Sta. what Element Types to compare, and what attributes to compare/Match (i.e. same Level, Color, Weight, etc.)
