Closed Element option in Place SmartLine with mnemonic

Question

Hi all, 
 We use MicroStation CONNECT Edition update 2 
 When I use Place Smartline and I close an element to draw a shape a pulldownmenu pops open with the option Closed Element ticked. Some of me students have the Closed Element option unticked in the pulldown menu, without using the left and right mouse button tentative. When we tick the option Closed Element and save settings, they can draw shapes again but after a while the option is Unticked again....in some kind of way they untick the option, but I cannot reproduce it, how do they do that? How can I untick or tick the option Closed Element without using the left and right mousebutton tentative? How to use the mnemonic O? It always happens when they work with AccuDraw O and Closed Element has the mnemonic O 
 Can someone help me out with this one?

Hi Mark 
 
They may be pressing the SPACE bar during the place smartline tool process. This toggles the Close option

Hi Ian, yes that must be it! Closed element is activated, pressing the spacebar ticks or unticks the active option. 
Probably the mnemonics don't work anymore....?
