I would like to change the sensitivity of my mouse. It really moves slow but I don't know how to do. I've searched in the forum and elsewhere but I couldn't find the solution.
from what you describe, it sounds to me like your issues are caused by an outdated video driver.

Is this happening on a brand new PC with Windows 10, or was your Windows version upgraded from Win7/Win8/Win8.1 to Win10?

If on an older PC or laptop, it may be that your video card does not support DirectX 11 (required for CONNECT Edition) and that this is causing the slow mouse.
By any chance, are you seeing: Software Graphics displayed in the title bars of your open view(s):

If so, that indicates that your video card is not being used to drive the display of your MicroStation CONNECT Edition.
Please check if there is a newer driver version available for your video card and install that (you may need to uninstall the existing driver first).

Should (after a full restart) you still have a problem, you may test with the behavior of the CONNECT Edition by creating and setting the variable: QV_DISABLE_D3D11 to 1
After a restart of the program, that variable forces the system to use Direct3D 9 (D3D9) rather than Direct3D 11 (D3D11).
Since D3D9 is simpler than D3D11, some graphics hardware or drivers work correctly with D3D9 but not with D3D11.
However, D3D11 is faster and preferable. Try upgrading to the latest driver for your hardware before setting QV_DISABLE_D3D11.

The following link may offer some more information and suggestions as well:

I've never had any problems with other programs and even the older versions of MS worked fine. I had this problem only with CONNECT and SS3. Actually I'm using the SelectSeries 2 again because working with a new version is simply annoying. If I move an object for example it takes a lot of time to get it from point A to point B, or when I move the cursor the reaction is really slow and sluggish. So I start to think it's simply an incompatibility with my computer (maybe the graphic card?) even if it sounds weird, because the old versions worked fine

RE: how can i change my mouse sensitivity from low to fast on MicroStation CONNECT Edition?

As Anu asked, did you check if this happens in another programs too or only in Microstation? This way you can tell if the problem is for example you windows mouse driver or inside Microstation.

Since you already tried the options inside Microstation and didn't work maybe you should try to upgrade your windows mouse driver.

Regards

RE: how can i change my mouse sensitivity from low to fast on MicroStation CONNECT Edition?

Hi Anu, thank you for your answer. But I've tried also this and it didn't change. when i draw a line for example the line isn't following the cursor properly when I move around on the screen. Don't know if i can explain it to you. Hope there is a solution. Best regards

Have you tried to changed the click sensitivity in MicroStation preferences, if that would help?

In CONNECT Edition go to File > Settings > User > Preferences > Input > Click Sensitivity:

I have Windows 10 but this doesn't seem to matter. I have experienced the same problem with MicroStation Select Series 3, so I moved back to SS 2. There the AccuDraw works fine and I do not have any problems with the mouse.

Could it be the graphic card?
I hope you can help me. Thank you very much.

RE: how can i change my mouse sensitivity from low to fast on MicroStation CONNECT Edition?

Hello Helmuth,

Do you experience the slow mouse only in MicroStation or in general in all applications?

You can change the mouse sensitivity in Windows, for example in Windows 10 go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Mouse.
Here is also a link to Microsoft page for instructions of setting the sensitivity for mouse in Win 7: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ie/help/14206/windows-7-change-mouse-settings

I hope this helps.
