  • Hi Helge,

    Try with:
    VIEW CLIP [ SINGLE | CLEAR ]

If you create a function key with this key-in VIEW CLIP SINGLE you only have to choose the object to activate the clip.

Then create a function key with this key-in VIEW CLIP CLEAR, you only have to choose the view where you want to turn off the clip.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • Hi Jose
I did try this key in but it does not work for me the way i was hping for.
I'm using the "section clip option" in the "create clip volume" tools, and i don't think key in"view clip single" will toggle the clip on and off like the view attributes clip volume button does. Or maybe I am doing it wrong.

  • With the same keyboard key-in I don't know if you can have a function to turn on/off the clip.

Even with Ian suggestion you have to use 2 functions and these don't work well with more than one view.

Of course for this key-in to WAD first you have to have a clip already created in your model.

As I stated before, to turn on the clip, you have to press the function then you have to select the intended clip object (this also works with simple box elements).

To turn it off select the second function key then accept in the intended view (the clip is turned off in all open views).

For me this is better as it supports more options.
