Please install KB2999226 on your machine before initiating installation Microstation CONNECT Edition- Update 5?

MicroStation install comes back 'Please install KB2999226 on your machine  before initiating installation' . When I install KB2999226 it says it is already loaded.

Microsoft tells us that KB2999226 applies to a 32-bit (x86) operating system.  So why is installation of 64-bit MicroStation app. complaining?

That's another situation. But you can keep both. V8i and CE are independant, except for the licensing and the Connection Center, integrated in V8i SS4.

 KB2999226 is for Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64)

I had to unload Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) 14.0.24123.0

and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) 14.0.23026.0

to get  KB2999226 to reinstall. So basically had to downgrade Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64)
