Can I drop a custom linestyle to its components (in Microstation)?

Hello.

I have a client-provided linestyle. I need to include a short line in my legend that includes both the stroke and the symbol. All the other custom linestyles are behaving - I can change scale and shift as needed to get the desired look. This one linestyle? I can get the scale to look good, but after that, it refuses to shift.

I'm at the end of a long week, and I just need this one thing done - on some levels I have far more urgent tasks than troubleshooting one funky linestyle that came from someone else that I'm not supposed to mess with anyway.

Is there a way I could just drop this line to the linestyle components - lines and symbol?
