hi all,
When i make up two Cylinder solid pipe and try to trim each other , it always trim in one time and can't trim one more time.i have tried many times to use the "Trim Solids" or "Trim Surfaces", but it can't be make up like as model pipe01,pie02.
Any help would be much appreciated
ThanksFrank
Please identify the version of MicroStation, or other product such as PowerDraft, that you are using: MicroStation CONNECT or MicroStation V8i. What is the 8-digit version number (e.g. 10.xx.yy.zz) of MicroStation?
Can you post your DGN file here?

My version of MicroStation is V8i (SELECTseries 3) version 08.11.09.357

Hi Frank,
This difference is intended?
This kind of modeling is some what complex. It's better to keep the original elements in a different level (or construction class) for backup.
Always make sure your elements are at perpendicular and parralel for this operations to work. The relation from complex surfaces to solid is very dependent of this.
So after this I think it's better to draw this orthogonal to your view for easier operation. Only after that you should place the cell in the desired position, XYZ coordinates and rotation.
Check the attached file with workflow to achieve the desired result.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
You should create a .cel file, this is in reality a .dgn file.
Inside it you should place each different connections in each model. And choose wisely the place of origin wich will be the point of placement in your main file. Always draw orthogonal and in the natural size.
Name each model logically like the type and size of connection.
After this go to your main model file and attach this cel file through Cell Library.
Choose the one you need and place it on the correct point. Then you'll only have to rotate so the the connection goes to right side.
