Good Day,
I have been having something new happen with Connect U4.
I have line strings that have been created many different ways with many vertices. As I go to delete a single vertex, the tool "delete vertex" will delete many of the vertices in the line string. It seems that it will delete about half. I have not seen this before in V8i through SS4. Is there a setting that I am missing for this tool?
Thanks!

HI Daniel
We have this filed and are going to start working on it, hopefully for Update 12 (U12) or more likely U13 as U12 is almost full [of development activities].

This is going to be one more tiny production killer if Bentley refuses to get this fixed, for good. As I mentioned before in this thread, I have reasons to use colinear vertices, and having to adapt to a second or third tool to get that work done just eats time. MicroStation does not know my reasoning for having those vertices and it should NOT be deciding unilaterally to remove them.

I too have at least 2 instances I regularly use co-linear vertices. For all the little things that don't work correctly in Connect, they had to mess with this.

I need colinear vertices in my daily work.
For example, when triangulating breaklines, where intermediate points make the model more accurate.
In some applications, there are massive error triangles in the model when certain vertices are simply deleted.
It is impossible to subsequently search the whole model for deleted vertices.
I consider this feature unreliable as it causes errors in various work.
There definitely needs to be an option to disable this automatic behavior! Please add this option finally!

Go ahead and file a Service Ticket with support and remind them this is still an issue.
