When I have previously installed new versions or upgrades of Microstation, at least when installing on a new computer, I have had to get and install a Pre-requisite pack with the Microstation program. When I have looked for a download of Version 08.11.09.829 I have not seen a pre-requisite pack offered.
Is it not necessary now or can I use an earlier version of the pre-requites which I have on DVD, or how do I get the files?

In that case it will be Bentley Systems that is being cut off without a penny (your subscription fee). If you don't pay a subscription, you don't obtain the benefits of that subscription.

In my opinion such question and discussion is time wasting effort, because nothing else than "what may happen in a future". How anybody from Bentley can provide you relevant information now what will be Bentley policy in future? But my experience with the most of software companies is that when support is contacted with clear proof of license validity, they are try to help, especially if it requires nothing more than to copy something from archive.
Also this discussion have taken longer than to create the deployment image and be safe from loosing access to Bentley pages..

If not Bentley, you can always ask here in Bentley community (or whatever communication tool will exist in a future) or contact local TMC (if exists in your country) or local Bentley partner. There are so many options and many people have old MicroStation installation in their drawers ;-)

Yes from the assistence covered by SELECT agreement, but you can always contact any company with any question or request ;-) And it will be a test of the company quality, because only foolish company will reject to communicate with "old customer", because such contact (hey, may I ask you for your product installation, I have license already) is the proof the user is still active and as such is a sales opportunity.
