Microstation (V8i SELECTseries4) Taskbar cutting off bottom of buttons/menu titles?

When Microstation was installed on my Surface Pro 4, the button and text were too small to read easily.  I adjusted the button and text size through the menu Workspace>Preferences>Look and Feel>Tool Size (medium), Workspace>Preferences>Look and Feel>Dialog Font (Sans Serif 9). Now, the text is a size that I can read, but the taskbar doesn't show the whole height of the text. This is what it looks like now.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • Success!  David was right that automatic scaling was the problem, although I didn't follow the provided instructions step by step.

My Microstation properties looked a little different:

By playing around, I found that Scaling performed by system seemed to work the best.

Then I made the icon, text, and dialog text smaller, rather than larger.

This is how it looks on both the large and small monitor now.  The only potential problem is now pop-up prompts from other programs (Snipping Tool) suddenly have enormous text. Maybe its related to the change I made here...will investigate.

Thank you everyone for all your help!
