Hi
Im new to item types. I am not able to add element properties to my item type. That i was trying to do was to create an item type that i want to use on some closed mesh objects. I want to add volume and transparancy to the item type. Also i was hoping that the item type will be dynamic, so that any transparancy or volume changes will be reflected in the item type. Can this be done? If yes, how do i do that? So far i am only able to add text, not element properties.

Hi Helge,
we are working at improving Item Types and being able to use elements properties directly in their properties is one of the things we are look into. I know it seems like a recurring mantra but we are working very hard to include some Item Types enhancements in the next updates
In the meanwhile you can use text fields to show element properties as text.

You can, but the number of operations to get there is quite long.

AreaAnnotator CONNECT Edition does all that for you...
The label above has three parts...
A Room ID (an Item Type property)
An area purpose (an Item Type property)
The area measurement (an element property)
AreaAnnotator makes it easy for you to attach the Item instance and create the label.

Hi Marco
Okay. I'm really looking forward for that enhancement as it will make item types a lot more useful/ flexible.
