Civtools for CE - Flatten elements to the same Z

CivTools is a great free tool which has the capability to flatten selected elements to a specific z value but there are other methods available to perform a similar operation including using the Element Selection tool and then making modification in the Element Information dialog.

I believe once our developers have prioritized the work being performed upgrading our base products that they would be looking to release a version of CivTools certified for MicroStation CONNECT Edition.

Andrew, I am requesting an update on this tool because civtools.ma will not load into the CONNECT Edition. CONNECT Edition just became available to my organization as it takes about 2 years to test and verify security of new software. Without this tool, our team will be unable to complete engineering calculations and efficiently produce drawings for plan production.

We have added the Set Element Elevation tool from CivTools and included this under the Manipulate ribbon group in the Ribbon Home tab.

You can select one or multiple elements and flatten them to a set elevation.

I thought Civtools needs to be recompiled for CE and is therefore not available.

That's what I understood as well. Believe he just used the term CivTools as a reference, like "from CivTools".

Strangely, "Set Element Elevation" dose not work on circles.  And when used on text it also shifts the text horizontally by what seems like random values, that changes between usage.

what we really need is ModZ.ma recompiled ... it was great tool just for fixing the Z values  and worked on all elements all the time ... nice and simple....
