I was eventually able to get this terminator to increase to a reasonable size - whether or not this was by luck or design, I cannot say. The dimension settings dialog box really is over-complicated - and not only that there are TWO different dialogs - one of which is almost useless.

There really needs to be a separate dialog for adjusting terminators - it makes absolutely no sense having to use the 'arrow' terminator height and width to adjust the 'dot' terminator.

I also use AECOsim and MicroStation, and not the InRoads software.

Open the Text Style editor dialog and go to the Geometry tab. In the Terminators section change the Width & Height values to adjust the Dot terminator. Make sure you do not change an existing style using the arrowhead terminator as it will change the size of those as well.
