Hi all, I am trying to open a drawing in Microstation from ProjectWise. I can only see the text on the drawing such as notes, dimensions etc but I cannot see any figures. The drawing's state on ProjectWise is "work in progress". Does anybody have any idea of what is happening and how it can be fixed?
Without more information it is hard to work out what you are referring too, ie version of MS and PW.
However, when the file opens do you see the reference files? if there are any?
Ian
I am working on Microstation v8i. Yes I can see reference files. I opened the same file from a different account and different pc and was able to see everything. Then I thought that it could be related to permission for access to the drawing and tried to open the same drawing from the same different account as before at my own pc but it didn't work. I presume that there has to be a setting which "hides the drawing". Could that be possible or have you got any other ideas? Thank you for your response.
OK, can you have a look at this..
1. Open the file that is referenced.
2. Check the models tab.
3. see what model are available and the name of the model that contains the geometry
4. Open the original file with the missing data
5. Check the correct model space is referenced.
6. Check the level display for the reference file, to see if the levels are On. (NOTE check Level display, Global display and global freeze.
Thank you both for your responses. That seems to be the problem. When I try to see the references, I can see that there are four models loaded on that drawing. But when I aim one of them with the mouse arrow I get a message which is "File not found".
OK.. How was the model created? Via the Dynamic views tools or other?
I am not really sure. I am making some changes but your instructions above worked and I can now see everything! Thank you very much for your time.
Glad to be of help
