Hi, everyone.
Pre-CONNECT version (on V8i), we could edit a "shortcut.txt" file that would be read by AccuDraw. - or we could even change the "MS_ACCUDRAWKEYS" to look at a different file as well, if we wanted.
Now, on CONNECT, I can't find a variable to edit my AccuDraw shortcut keys, and "MS_ACCUDRAWKEYS" variable was deprecated. If I press "?" on AccuDraw, it displays a "Keyboard Shortcuts" dialog box, listing the current shortcuts, but is there a way to export this out and/or import a different one?
Any help is greatly appreciated...
In the CONNECT Edition this is now handled and saved to an XML file. The associated configuration variables that would be used to define the XML are shown below:
Currently there is no direct way to import/export the file. Currently if you wanted to move the shortcuts to another machine you would have to take a copy of the XML file and move it to the appropriate location on the new machine.

Wasn't this saved in the file personal.funckey located in the prefs folder (C:/user/username/appdata/local/bentley/program name/program version/prefs)?
I could import my old V8i funckey.txt to Connect and now just backup this file along with others and move my personal.funckey around to the appropriate folder whenever needed.
Edit: sorry, I was confused - in our office we call the function keys "Shortcuts" and the keyboard shortcuts "Tastaturkürzel". The personal.keyboardshortcuts are stored in the same folder.
Yeah, and the Function Keys are still handled the same way as in V8i, with the funckey.mnu file (just point to that file and we're good to go).

FYI:The formatting of the function key menu in Connect has changed and is not backwards compatible with V8i. If you use both Connect and V8i this can cause problems.

Wow, you are right! I just checked it and my function keys were not working anymore on V8i... Now I have two *.mnu files to keep track off...
Thanks for the heads up, Ron!
Correct me if I'm wrong but: apparently one cannot assign a number key to a parent shortcut key in CONNECT (which apparently was the default for certain shortcuts in V8i). I've tried changing the shortcuts in the Settings menu in CONNECT: new number parents aren't accepted, children are. Is this correct?
