Hi. Short and to the point: in Microstation V8i, is there a way to turn off the Primary Class elements similar to the way you can turn off Construction Class elements in the View Attributes Tool?
Thank you!
The following will temporarily hide all of the non-construction elements.
am i not seeing it because of the version i use?
Apologies - i think i've found the command (is it displayset?)

What do you see in MicroStation (as opposed to what you see in help)? The right-click menus are context-sensitive.

We can't answer that unless you tell us what version you are using.

Hi Jon
'I can see' what you can see in the screenshot i posted. You will note that the image shows the RESET POP UP MENU as directed in the original thread. 'ISOLATE' (as indicated in the original post) does not appear in the menu. Can you tell me why that might be?
Regards
Andy
you need to have elements selected in order to see that option

Following the original post (as i obviously did) - does that qualify has 'having elements selected? ( I must admit that i assumed reviewers would know that i had reached Step 4, if only because the Pop-up menu was in my screenshot.)
sometimes what is obvious is not always true - so the question needed to be asked.
If there is no selected elements - then the isolation option is not shown.
So in your case it must be something else ?
what version of the software is being used ? does this happen in any file ? are you using a custom workspace ? are there any apps running on top of MicroStation ? are there other users in your office that have the same issue ?
was the ISOLATION option taken out in later versions? Does the pop-up menu change depending on the file in use? What is a "custom workspace"? Does the pop-up menu change when one uses a custom workspace? What sort of apps would change the pop-up menu? Do you mean Bentley apps (i have no idea) or third party apps (no). Is the pop-up menu user-dependent?
