Whats up everybody?
This utility will allow you to add notes to your dimensions via a userform.
It has some programmed or you may enter your own in the textbox, and specify if you want it above or below the dimension line.
Instructions:
Pick or Enter NotePress OkSelect Dimension

Pretty good so far, just finished playing around with it... I can see why it works as it makes the text actually part of the dim which is a good thing standards wise.. not just a piece of text as we all do now not a good thing...
Some ideas...
1. Link your VBA to a stand alone text file then the user can edit or have as a company std not inside the vba , I would like to add another common one "VARIES" and more I use for road works typical sections "*", "VERGE', MEDIAN, SHOULDER, BATTER, LANE, BIKE LANE ( the previous on two lines would be cool), "PATH", SUP ( short for Shared User Path) just to name a few you already have TYP.
2. Have an addition parameter tab setting page to define where and name of the stand alone text file lives if its outside the vba..
3, Allow Control key to or better yet the crossing window data point to data point so we can select several dims at once not just one at a time , users wont bother unless can group select, well I wouldnt for just one or two dims..
4. Come up with a better name Dim Note Utility makes me think of the place note tool which is a dimension tool too, might I suggest
EDT tool or Enhanced Dimension Text Tool or Enhanced Dimension Text Utility..

If you're using MicroStation CONNECT then you already have Text Favorites in the text editor.

I forgot to error check myself before posting the revised file.
Once the cfg file is set, if by chance it gets moved or erased, the code will crash and not let you change it. I have fixed that problem.
Attached is the fixed version.

I thought it would be cool to be able to edit the config file directly from the userform, so I added the ability to do just that.

I've made some changes to this utility and wanted to share with everyone.
Changes include:
1. Code optimization2. The ability to keep selecting dimensions, not just one at a time. 3. Recall User Position. The userform will launch in the last position it was placed. (I found it kind of annoying that it started in the middle of the screen everytime.)
Please let me know what you guys think!
