I chose which sheet model to use from a pop up at lower left. It lists all the sheet models, twice. Once under heading "Name" and then
another column to the right under heading "Model";
but the content of the two lists is exactly the same. Under models properties
I see type, name, description, ref logical,, then further down sheet name, sheet number.
How do I get the two columns in the pop up to display different information?
the most difference I have seen between them is:
sk08a model name Views sko8a model name
I cant get the sheet name; I cant get the description, I cant get ref logical, I cant get the sheet number.
What is the thinking behind repeating the model name, but allowing no useful information to be presented.
I need to put in a description, text and numbers, which tells at a glance what is in that sheet model.
The model numbers are not going tobe, for example: SK08A 3400 7800 125. it will be just SK08A.
The other information, I need to put in the other side of the pop up. Surely that is why it exists??
It would be helpful if you could provide the version of MicroStation being used along with a screen capture highlighting which dialog / tool you are using and how this is not displaying as you expected.

Andrew, hello and thanks.DOCXI have attached a file which I hope shows a picture of what I see in the sheet pop up. I cannot find a way of controlling what goes into the right columns.
thanks
Jim
Hi Jim
What you are referring to is the active view groups.
This Displays the name of the view group as well as the model with which it is associated, and allows you to select a different view group.
It does not provide more information
If you want to modify the information in the column Name you can open the manage View Groups and press the information icon, this allows you to modify name and description.
Otherwise you can change other information using the model dialog. Select the model you want to modify, select properties icon and do right click on it and select properties. This will bring the Properties dialog and now you can change from there whatever you need from the General Tab.
The information you need to see is available using the properties dialog

Jim,
all you want to see will be presented in the Model Dialog. Maybe you can add some more columns in there.
Whenever you create a new model, by default MicroStation will also create a new View Group. This is mainly for comfort. The lower left list only gives you a choice of View Groups, see it as a shortcut. For details regarding sheets, the Model Dialog is the best place. By double click a model, you can enter it there as well.
