Hi all,
I have an interesting situation.
Mstn v8i SS3 (SS4) - using raster manager I attach the raster image (jpg file) and placed the plane in the front view.
The plane and the image are visible in the front view and isometric view, however, the perpendicular views does not show the line (plane). i.e. top view and right view the plane does exist, but not visible.
Similar effect was happened with text.
In Workspace/Preferences/View Options there are options
Anti-Alias Lines - OFF
Anti-Alias Text - ON
So by changing Anti-Alias Text from On to OFF the problem with text is solved; but the raster plane problem still exist.
Are there any other options how to correct the problem with displaying raster plane lines
Thanks
In the same dialog there are 2 additional switches that might help.
Turn on both the "Fast Visible Edges" and the "Auto-Locate Thin Edges in Overlay"
In addition, if you are using a Display Style in the view, there are settings "Visible Edges" and "Treat Open Elements as Edges" that you may want turned On.
I forgot to tell you to verify that the images display is turned On, and that the Level it is assigned too, is also On in that view. Got to check everything!
I have the same issue when I try it, but for all views when looking at the edge, but If I highlight it in the Raster Manager dialog, it will display the edge in the view.
There is also a setting Under Workspace Preferences under the Raster Manager Category to Display Raster Border Set it to "Always"

George,
thanks for your message. I think I have found the answer.
Such behaviour of the raster plane is normal. There is a settings in Preferences
Utilities / Preferences / Raster Manager
Display Raster Border: When Selected / Never / Always
Ok. Live and learn :-)

additionally I don't use a 3d file to hold rasters. and set to back ground... then use the holding 2d dgn file to place raster as reference file attachements.. I assume your rasters are of aerial photos etc... this works very well for me ... try it and see if it works better for you...

Lorys hello,
Thanks for your advise. I use raster referencing in 3D for modelling purpose.
Thanks again for your help.
