somehow my microstation was set up so when i open it, the defualt does not set with my custom function keys. Some of the settings are on some non writable drives for myself. Which setting do I have to change so my function keys will open with my settings. see image below for reference.
If you don't have the authority to write to your UCF user configuration, you may have to talk to the "powers that be" at your company to get that changed. Companies lock down files for a number of reasons, from security to ignorance, and I've found it's best to talk with the authorities than to try to find a hack around their system.

Some of those settings are also written to your UPF (User Preference File). You will want to make sure you have Read/Write access to that file as well. If you have settings that are not being stored that file may not be getting written to. As Mary mentioned you may need to speak with the powers that be for permissions to your user files. Then make sure the correct variables are set to point to your menu file and other files.
