Hi
I'm having some glitches with selection tool. At first I though that the problem is with my mouse, but when MicroStation is not running, then the problem wont occur. Those glitches won't happen all the time. And when they do, they are spamming me and it won't let me work normally.
Examples:
When I'm dragging the text element, the program itself makes two-clicks so it opens the text editor tool.
While dragging an element it might automatically cancel it for me and finish the dragging without me clicking out releasing the left click.
If dragging from left to right only element that were completely inside the selection box will be activated but sometimes for me it doesen't activate the elements in the selection box. When I release the click the element will stay active for brief moment and it will lose the selection. I would have to use the right -> left selection.
It feels like while I'm doing my thing there is an another mouse in someones hand who clicks the left click at the same time with me, which cancels actions or distracts them.
Any ideas, where to look for the problem?

sounds like your user prefs (username. upf file) is corrupted, try deleting it and mstn will build a generic new one...
Before you do it go to Workspace user preferences and do some screen shots of all your custom settings..
Then after deletion of the upf restart mstn and open Workspace>user preferences and edit to suit your screen shots, then move your pallets, tools etc how you like and in under 5 mins your back ( keep the screen shots somewhere for future ref)
If you copy your old one and edit its extension to .oldupf
Then if it made no difference you can always bring it back or if your new one is better delete the old and make a back up of the new one.. call its extension .oldupf
If it happens again then we have not addressed what is causing it but you have the means to quickly get back to work then later you can get on to Bentley support as to whats going wrong...

Is possible use another mouse to check if the issues remains. Sometimes the buttons will lose the normal behavior which is a sign to get a new mouse.
Check if in Windows mouse configuration you change the double-click to be a single-click.

Thanks for the tip. I deleted the prefs and trying out the new one. Will be updating in a few days if problem is resolved.
Thanks. Will try the first tip, because the problem hasn't occured when MicroStation isn't open.
If the device is Bluetooth (wireless), Try a set of fresh batteries. Unplug BT Dongle and insert into a different usb port. to see if is a bad connection or poor signal.
I Hope This Helps Someone Reading This! (Intergraph>PseudoStation>MicroStation user since 1980's)
