Dear Users,
we get very offen situation in which we have to change line style (in attachemnt) to grey one (as on picture below)
Unfortunatelly, very offen even we change it on the screen we have diffrent situation
For now only solution is get into attache file (references), change it, save and they come back into working file.
Do You have any other idea how to solve it better and faster?
Regards
SG
its a reference atttachement, its colour not style, style is the line type no matter, just enable overrides from control B , then in level manager change the ref file levels colour to override and set the colour you want for each lvel or only specific levels...then do a save settings just in case te view control attributes doesnt hold... it should hold but I like doing it just in case...

Lorys, thanks for quick answer.
We also tried it before, but when we use that method all / specific levels change but also in referal file.
In conclusion to have colour or grey file we need to have 2 diffrent files.
So in this case is not a solution for this problem.
Any other ideas?
can you post samples of files in dgn and tell us what level you want greyed out in ref view ... we can try to reproduce what you want .. using workflow I said should work... been using it this way for last 10- 15 years everyday... nested refs with sheet models have a bit strange behavior at times...
From what I can tell by you first picture you are using ByLevel, not Overrides in the Levelmanager. When opening an Acad dwg file, this Symbology Overrides automaticly switches to ByLevel and stays that way, even when continuing on a dgn. But do try again the way Lorys explained and you'll only need one file.communities.bentley.com/.../how-to-use-reference-file-level-symbology-overrides-without-affecting-the-active-file-levelsNote: In the reference manager you can turn of Symbology Override for each individual reference file Settings > Presentation > Use View Flags... There toggle switches as desired.
I hope this helps
