Hello, I'm having an issue with a custom line style that I haven't been able to solve. When placing lines with the line style in question sometimes there is an extra rotated portion of the line style that appears a the end of the line (see image below). This item can't be selected and acts like a phantom element, until you drop the line style. Both the white line on the left and the blue line on the right are 10.03125' long and use the exact same custom line style. This happens randomly and doesn't appear to follow a pattern, which makes it difficult to figure out. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Kevin
Kevin,
I was able to see the issue but what I have seen so far is through the linestyle editor your linestyles are not compound linestyles they are strictly just point symbols , I don't see where the stroke and the point have been linked together to create the compound component.
Melissa, the line style was created by our programmer so I'm not sure why it was created in its current configuration. I do know that we have several VBA macros that place other lines off of the top most line in this style throughout a specific model in a file, maybe that has something to do with it. I didn't think that you had to create a compound line style component if you were just placing a symbol at a specific point on a stroke pattern (i.e. origin, on the stroke, end, etc.).

I looked at the line style in more detail through the linestyle editor and found that in the point symbol when you click on End there is an extra line that I am guessing is not supposed to be there.?
I believe that the extra symbol at the End is for a line segment that is less than the 10.03125' stroke length.
If I removed the symbol from the end then I no longer get the extra symbol
I tried removing the symbol from the End, the extra symbol was still there on one of the problems lines and the end was now missing on lines shorter than 10.03125'.
