Linear feet by level?

Question

I am working on a traffic project and will be using various types of pavement markings. If they are all on their own unique levels, is there a way I can extract how many linear feet are drawn on each level? So, if I have a level named PM_8_INCH_WHITE, is there a tool or a report I could use to see how many feet of PM_8_INCH_WHITE are drawn in the project? I am manually tallying the quantities now but have heard this is possible and would like to learn how to do so. Thanks.

If you are using the CONNECT Edition of MicroStation you can create a report that will look for Linear elements on a specific level. The drawback is it wont total the individual segments however you can export the report to Excel and get a sum quickly through there. 
 Regarding setting up the report see the image below as a reference: 
 
 Depending on the time of linear elements you need only need to search for line strings. The filtered by will limit the scope of the report to the level defined. 
 For Columns i set up a column to report the length of each individual element and a second column just to verify that it is on the desired level. 
 If you have different types of linear elements on a level you will find that the length needed for reporting may not have the same property name. For b-spline curves you need to pull the "Length" property and for a linestring you need to pull the "Total Length" property. To do this please refernce the image below:
