Thanks, guys. I am eliminating the use of EDFs in the future development and also getting out of using them in our old cells, but that will take some time. In the mean time I still need it to work in Microstation Connect. I will raise the service request with Bentley Systems. Thanks for your help.

Yes, nested cell, there are like 7 nested cells. You can use edit text in the meantime, but you do lose the EDF definition.

I can reproduce your observation, using MicroStation CONNECT Update 8. If I analyse your cell, I can see a nested cell LOC that contains the text HOOK. But I can't change HOOK using MicroStation's Enter Data dialog.

I suggest that you raise a service request with Bentley Systems, and submit your DGN file as evidence.

Attached is the DGN file where the instance of cell exists (named R1). Try to edit the EDF named HOOK and change it to something else. communities.bentley.com/.../ZOWA1234.001.DGN

Has that cell been placed in a DGN model? That is, you're working with a cell instance and not the cell in its cell library?

Can you post here a small example DGN file that shows an instance of that troublesome cell?
