Is it possible to Match an existing Note and change another existing Note to appear the same? I have tried this in CE9 and SS3 both without success. It seems that the gap between the inline leader and text are not being recalculated. I have attached a file to show you the issue.
Process
Smart Match existing Note (A)
Change Text Attributes Note (B)
Change Dimension Note (B)
Thanks for any help.

I have trouble with this too because its both text and dimension at the same time... neither fish nor fowl.... you need to make sure the text style used in the dim style is the same .. I usually give up and use match dims then double click on the text in the dim to change and cut it then delete the stupid thing and redo place note with the new active settings matched and use the paste to put the text back...( it also makes a difference who and how both the notes were created in the first place... lots of settings available.. for this feature tool.....)
Its more steps but match change the text first , then match change the dim leader... I used your file and worked for me...
I also use custom key in to match elements edit the alt -LMB settings to
match element fromcursor;change element extended
I managed to do what you wanted and detailed the steps in your file which I have reattached

yep
did you open the I file I resent and did my lower copy look right to you?
Did you also change the button assignment for Alt left mouse button?... even if didn't work for this situation its brilliant on text and lines... and for me place notes too but again if I only have to do one or two and it refuses to work I just retrace the note... often fastest way around the problem...
Thanks again Lorys
I did open your file. Here is what it looks like to me.
I was expecting the lower block to have two similarly sized notes.
Retyping the note is a very frustration practice for users. Notes need to be friendlier to work with especially with them being used by the Design applications now.
What I meant was I made duplicate of the right block and used the left block as a match and changed the copied block... lower right so my question was when you inspected the the lower right is it correct or did you want it to look different? which is the one needed to use as a match or are both lefts to be used separately as I did?
