i have a situation (as mentioned in a post below) where my border references have somehow moved many, many miles away from the correct location. Moving them back requires doing a Fit All, which shows me two tiny, tiny dots (my sheet and my border), then I have to window in several times to be able to see enough of my border to pick it up and move it.
This would be much easier of there was a command to Fit View to a specific reference. I've never heard of it, never thought about it until now, but Boy, that would be useful!!!
Is there such a command?
If not, I'm taking this over to Ideas.Thank you.MaryB

I use saved views for this which I can recall whenever I need for the view I want.

I wouldn't have saved a view with the border out in the Atlantic ocean, because that's not where it is supposed to be. It wasn't there previously so there was no way (or reason) to save a view of it. That's what I wanted to zoom to - my misplaced border file that shows up one pixel large when I Fit All. Or can we create saved views of things we haven't viewed yet?

Great idea — submit that to the Ideas Forum! Just remember: It's hard to make predictions, especially about the future.

With reference to the saved view, I think the poster meant once you create your drawing sheet placed in the right place then before you leave the file create a saved view so you can in effect have a restore point... I dont know how well that would work with the nesting of the other refs... but if your having things move on you unexpectedly it might be a good work around until you find out the cause / culprit...

Mary,
The key-in fit reference <ref file name or logical name>;selview 1 may work for you.

Andre
Unfortunately, that does not work for me. It fits all references, ignoring the specification.
