Hi
So I want to create a label that shows item types that I've connected to a model. Is that even possible?
I've tried to attach items to a model, create text within that model as a function of those item types. Then place a fence around it and create a cell. I place that cell as a label in another model with the same item types attach to the model as the model in which I created the cell. After placing the label the field-text is showing the same text as it was in the model where I created the cell, but when I change the item types of the model that I'm in, the text in the label becomes "####". So there's some kind of connection, but it doesn't work as it's supposed to. Any ides?
Running AECOsim buildingdesigner update 3.

Can we clarify your request? You have a DGN model (not a cell) where you place DGN elements. You have defined an Item Type in that DGN model. The Item Type definition is intended to let you create an Item instance attached to that model (not to an element in that model).

How do you go about attaching an Item to a DGN model? Can you post an example that shows a DGN model having an Item instance?

The purpose of it all is to create a cell/label that will show info about the model when I export it and send it to customers. And when exporting to DWG I want to be able to export all models in the file to separate DWG-files. So attach the items to my drawingseedmodel by in the project explorer rightclick on the model and chose attach item. You can see the items in the image here.
When I read about labels it seems to do everything I want to to, but i keep saying element items, not file or model items. So maybe it's not yet possible to get info from the models or files items in a label?

Excellent idea! Thanks for the screenshot that shows an Item instance attached to a DGN model. Can you provide a copy of a DGN file that contains your Modellstämpel Item Type?
Of course, not really sure how to upload something here though.
Hi Robert,

use Insert > Insert image/video/file tool available from editor menu.
Some file extensions are blocked, so when the file cannot be uploaded, try to zip it. And of course there is also a size limit, but small size files (pictures, simple file examples) are not problem.
