Hi,
I will go into a file, hit ctrl+b and change the display style to "wireframe". This sets the drawing order to show the proposed linework above the existing.
The next day, another engineer or I will go into the same sheet and the file will not look correct. Upon hitting ctrl+B, the display style is (wireframe display).
Is there a way to:
A. default to wireframe instead of (wireframe display)
B. Get rid of (wireframe display) in general.
We are using MicrosStation V8i SS2 Version 08.11.07.443
Thanks
Dylan
Hi DShannonNTM,
John Framton wrote the following explanation to your query in an earlier forum post:
"we have to look at how a display was setup prior to V8i. In the older versions a view had a render mode, not a display style. When you open a file that has never used v8i before we have to infer the (render mode display) display style. We did this versus create a display style that could possible conflict with your company standards.
Regarding setting a default display style, this can be done in your seeds."

Let me know if this answers your question.

We have tried the "save settings" and it appears to still be doing it.
I know i have "save settings on exit" toggled so i would assume it should be doing that.
It isnt really a problem if we get into the files and toggle it.
The problem is when we run a batch plot and the existing (gray) is over the proposed (black).
I know i have fixed the seed files on our network. We are also working on PW through another company where we do not have access to their seed files. I will test this theory and coordinate with them if that is the issue.
Hi DshannonNTM,
Let us know how you get on.
