BENTLEY... URGENT URGENT URGENT
This has been raised many times by many people in this forum, including myself
We are now at CE9 and this is STILL AN ISSUE
I have many clients that I am trying to get to use CONNECT....
They are ALL saying........
WE CANNOT USE CONNECT because it is SO SO SO SO SLOW. Their same files in V8i are super fast.
If you compare CE to V8i... users will opt for V8i every time, V8i is literally is a fraction of time. User cannot and will not wait for 2-5 minutes to open the software, they will not wait to open another dgn file. So not matter how hard we try to convince them CE is the way forward... they simply say NO.
THIS IS NOW A CRITICAL ISSUE and BENTLEY you seriously need to get this FIXED ASAP.
As I mentioned we are now at CE9 and this issue is still present.........its beyond a joke.
In my opinion... stop working on anything else and get the speed issue fixed or you will not have any users left to use it. Its only a matter of time before you lose them and they start using ACAD!!!!!!!

As an update to all of you from the input we received here on our Bentley Communities forum, in particular, this thread, we’ve identified a few areas that have been a cause of performance issues with MicroStation CONNECT Edition for some users. These areas are being targeted to be addressed in MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 10:
We understand this does not address all of the issues that have been brought to our attention, but we are committed to making MicroStation CONNECT Edition more efficient as we will continue working on optimizing and improving performance issue in future updates of MicroStation CONNECT Edition We look forward to your feedback once we have MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 10 released.
Can you provide an update on this please...... we are ALL HOLDING our breath with anticipation............
We are in the process of wrapping up MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 10. We still have a few items we are working on before we can begin our internal release process. It will still be a few more week, so please take a breath until it's released .

I would also suggest doing the same under Help Settings - uncheck the option to use the online help.

Great tip the online help is soooo slow. Also in the connect advisor settings stop that loading on startup too.
These tips call for a new thread. They'll get buried here and many people won't see them.
