Thank you, Andrew. I e-mailed BentleySupportPolicy@Bentley.com as you instructed. My boss (and, you know, sort of just good business planning common sense) requires me to get a precise and complete definition of these terms from Bentley.
Now I await their reply. My hope is that they'll even reply here in Communities. I gave them a link to this thread.
I received a reply to my e-mail to BentleySupportPolicy@Bentley.com today. It was really good. They pointed out (embarrassingly for me) that the same page (https://www.bentley.com/en/desktop-applications) has a table defining each term I asked about ("Expiring Support" and "Support Discontinued").
This post's original reply from David Trejo-Rodriguez also covers this:
