I'd like to be able to have Microstation "set mark" every five minutes or so. Any ideas on how to do this? Thank you.
This would be best done through some programming as there are no default tools that would allow this.
You can inquire in our Programming Forum.
Hi Patrick,
I agree with David the only way how to add such functionality to MicroStation is to write an application. I am not quite sure whether it's possible technically, because MicroStation is based on a concept of active commands and processing events, but maybe some timer would provide the solution.
May I ask why do you need such functionality? Undo can be used for the whole MicroStation session and the mark is typically set in exactly defined situation, when specific conditions are met. To define it based on time is a bit unusuall and I am not sure about benefits.
With regards,
Jan

Jan, I don't disagree. Its more of a convenience issue than a need. Also I'm just curious about how it would be carried out. Thank you both.
Another item to consider could be MicroStation Design History that records the changes being made in your files, at what times, and who performed them.
