Currupt microstation

Question

I've just installed windows 10 and Microstation V8i (08.11.09.459). When I open a drawing it display as above. If I open the same dgn file on a different computer it display correctly. 
 Please help in this regards

try setting the following variable: 
 QV_D3DVERSION = 9

go to the workspace pulldown and select configuration. The dialog that opens has a create button. Create the variable, set it to 9, save the changes, then exit MicroStation and restart.

Firstly, if you have upgraded your system to Windows 10 then you should also be upgrading to a version of MicroStation certified for use on Windows 10. This would be either the final release of MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4) 08.11.09.829 or the latest release of MicroStation CONNECT Edition (Update 9).

 The issue you are describing as well as the screen capture show this issue is relating to the graphics display, in particular the drivers or age of the graphics card. It would be worth looking at the following Wiki article to troubleshoot any graphics display issue you are encountering.

 The system variable supplied by Tim Hickman would be a temporary workaround until you sort out your graphics display issue. This is usually an old graphics card driver or compatibility issues with the age of the graphics card and the DirectX version being used by Windows 10.
