I have just recently installed Powerdraft Connect Update 9 and I am experiencing some issues with the software hanging, slow running and/or exiting just doing simple tasks like opening the Reference Manager box for example as it did just now prompting me to post this!
I am running a 2013 Dell Inspiron Laptop with the following specs:
Intel Core i7 CPU @ 2.2 GHz
64 bit OS
8GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7730M graphics
683GB free disk space
Should I be having issues like this with that sort of spec? Bear in mind that I was easily running multiple instances of Powerdraft V8i Select Series 3 with no performance issues at all, sometimes four or five instances running on this laptop, and with other software also running.
Any help advice or common complaints greatly appreciated.
Keith
It is typical with the build you have installed and previous builds of CE that you get these issues. V8i is much faster..... Bentley have recognized the issue and have stated that they hope CE10 will address the speed issue.

Just a wee update, when I open the reference manager dialogue, then click the icon to attach a reference, Powerdraft hangs then exits.
I believe the issue you may be having is probably related to a Windows KB Update that is causing issues with our Product. This is a known issue we are working on currently with Microsoft to resolve. See if you have this update on your system.

Thank you Todd, rather than go back to another restore point I will wait till July 10th.
Hi Ian, well until the hanging problem is sorted I am having to revert back to V8i and if after the fix speed doesn't improve, or Update 10 hasn't been released I may not go back to Connect. Not exactly progress is it!
