I have models that are referenced into other models within the same file. However when the levels are altered in the raw model the reference will not update unless I delete and re-reference the model back in. Updating levels within the reference manager doesn't work. Any advice?
On another note I have a sheet view with a large set of boarder references from an external source. However when I turn the ones I don't need off and save settings/save the document, then close and re-open the document, all the references are all turned back on. Again any advice?
(Software is MicroStation v8.11.9.832)

As in changing the level colour, style, weight, etc

And elements are placed with symbology By Level?
Yes that's correct.
Note level style/weight/colour are changed in the level manager and all elements are set to By Level.
