So I am fairly new to Microstation (1 month) and I just noticed that when I start drawing a line the first point I click places the AccuDraw box at the alignment of a line that I previously drew. This just started today and I noticed that every time I draw a line it is not square with all the other lines on my sheet. Please help me find the setting for this. No one else in my office knows what I have done to cause this and cannot offer me a solution. Thank you.
Do you have your perpendicular snap locked?
No, I do not.
I am the only one working on this file in this project
I've accidentally hit all sorts of things as mistaken Accudraw shortcuts. I've typed the wrong keys by accident, or tried to type a shortcut when focus wasn't in the Accudraw window, or any other number of misfortunate simple errors.
It's possible that you did something like that without even noticing.

I am pretty sure I did hit a wrong key. I am new like I said, and I do use the AccuDraw shortcuts and probably just hit a wrong shortcut and just kept drawing. But the issue is that it just started working again after I toggled the ACS plane and I couldn't make it do it again. I even toggled through the AccuDraw ACS orientation shortcuts to see if I could recreate it and was unsuccessful. I am guessing it was a bug and something was just stuck.
if it aint broke dont try and fix it!

George,
This is pretty easily done with Accudraw.
Check your Accudraw settings and set Floating Origin and Context Sensitivity on.
1. Place your line at the angle you desire.
2. Place your next line. The Accudraw Compass will appear at the start of the line.
3. Press 'B' and the AD Compass will rotate to match the angle of the last line placed.
4. You can now use 'Enter' to constrain the line to either the X or Y axis etc etc.
Voila.. much quicker than using the ACS tools.
