When I go to the fufillment center, the only microstation files available are connect and a 32 bit version of v8i from 2016.
Is anyone else having this issue on the fufillment website
When you perform a search for the versions of MicroStation available for download it should show the following list.
The first three are the latest releases of MicroStation CONNECT Edition Updates 8, 9 & 10 which are all 64 bit applications.
The last is the final release of MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4) 08.11.09.829. This is a 32 bit application but is fully certified for 64 bit versions of Windows up to 10.

I don't see this. I had to restore my system and reinstall but V8I SS4 is no longer showing as an available product

I can't answer for Lynwood, but some of our reasons are:
1. Largest client is not working with CONNECT and is not requiring CONNECT drawings.
2. CAD standards/administration will need a complete re-work to fit CONNECT configuration.
3. Lingering concerns about functionality and stability.
4. Many, many projects still in V8i that will not be brought "ahead" to CONNECT/OpenRoads
5. Concern about the downtime/learning curve with a limited budget for training.

Hi Mary,

I think you named all important issues blocking migration to CONNECT Edition.
When talking about "MicroStation only" project, where no other product like InRoads/PowerCivil, AECOsim BD or Bentley Map is involved, the migration is easier, but especially ORD is still extremely slow and crashing often, so it cannot be used in production yet (not talking about complicated migration of all settings to new environment that have required huge effort).

That's probably the only point I disagree with a bit. In my opinion especially for MicroStation there are more well written (blog, training, documentation...) content than ever was for V8. But Bentley themself are their worst enemy, because the information are spread over different webs and hidden behind old fashioned not intuitive interface and weird content structures.
One help there is CONNECT Advisor, but unfortunately because so badly released and promoted, many users removed it and treat it as useless extension from very first start. But it can help to navigate to some interesting content.
Because it's what I have heard from all of my users (it's extremely complicated to navigate and search for any useful content, especially for not English native users), I recently put together a list of links I think contains useful information for MicroStation users.

I agree. I find the Bentley Systems website hard to navigate.

I congratulate your effort, but shouldn't Bentley Systems be doing that?

I actually have found the CONNECTION Center to be a useful hub of Bentley resources. Downloads, Docs, Communities, and Service requests are easily accessed.
