Hi,
I created bunch of custom 3D line styles in V8i generation software and now they don't work in CONNECT. The way I build these line styles is I used meshes rather than solids (to keep them lighter size-wise) and it seems to be the reason why they are not recognised in CONNECT. Any reason why such defined line styles are not supported? If not, can this be fixed asap so we don't need to recreate
Below is a screenshot. V8i on the left and CONNECT on the right.
I'm running ORD update 4.

Is there a timeline to correct this problem?

3 years later even in U16 still not fixed but there is a course just how nice is to use 3D linestyles. How ironic is that? https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/b/microstation_blog/posts/custom-line-styles-3d-line-styles
Mesh linestyles are the only ones which are able to drop using "drop linestyle" and keep the geometry otherwise they export as simple lines which is somewhat expected and unexpected at the same time. If 3D lines are DGN specific then there should be conversion module which explicitly deals with such non-supported(by Bentley and other vendors) element type. This is unacceptable for BIM advanced company.
I agree that this needs to be sorted ASAP. I tried to create a 3D line style with a mesh and placed it in an RSC file, but that didn't work for me. Please can somebody let me know if that definitely should work in ORD Connect.
It works but only with mesh type and in RSC file. Good luck to get rid of existing lines which are already embedded in DGN file there are no tools to remove them(compress won't work on used lines).
