Copying out measured angle

After measure  angle, I want to do a rotation using the value measured.

In message centre, it says:

Angle = 3.927 followed by a lttle circle which is not an ascii character.

When I try to copy the angle value, it will not highlight - instead the whole line highlights.

So the high lighted text is

"Angle = 3.927~"  where ~ represents the little circle which is not an ascii character.

In the rotate tool, when I paste the highlighted text, it does not recognise it because of

the junk characters, and it resets the rotate angle to zero.

So I have to edit it, to remove the junk characters.

Required behaviour is that a double click in the message bar line, on the angle value,

will select the value.

Double click to select a word is a GUI standard.

Can powerdraft be made to edit properly in Message Centre?

thanks

  • Don't select the ~  when you copy / paste and it works as intended for me...

Have you tried angle assistant tool from ask inga that may  help you....

If your measuring an angle of a  line and want to do a VIEW ROTATION why not  just  use the view rotate 2 points and use the line instead?

If your wanting to rotate a different element by the rotation angle of another element ie rotate to be parallel either  text or  or  line  then I have created a Basic macro years ago I still use it , sorry not for connect... but if you want it anyway then pm me and I will upload it... if anyone wants to convert it to vba let me  know and I'll send it to you too...

As when you finally go over to connect no more basic just vba....
