I am currently working on a large rail project, over several miles of railway.
We have a large quantity of photos taken along the route, each photo has embedded geo location data (taken on smart phones).
I have a large .dgn survey model, in which I would like to provide links to each of the photos.
Does the functionality exist within MicroStation to place a marker at each of the photo locations, each marker providing an external link to the corresponding photo?
Any help with this would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Will
While I haven't played with this technology enough to be sure, I think it would be possible by using cells with placeholder fields and Project Explorer links. I'm not sure how you'd get the geocoordinate data from the photos...Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along soon.Which version of Microstation (etc.) are you using?

Yes, I thought there would be a way to do it as I have manually added Project Explorer links to cells and elements previously.
I am just expecting a large batch of photos and want to, firstly speed up the process and secondly utilise the geo data within the photos.
I am currently using MicroStation version 08.11.09.608, AECOsim version 08.11.09.747 and ProjectWise Explorer CONNECT version 10.0.2.265.
Thank you for your help.
I have looked at the link provided.
It looks to be exactly what I'm looking for.
I will contact Centauron and see if it works.
Thank you
That tool will do a whole batch of photos as its drag drop files or folder once you set it up with which cell to use and where you photos live its all automated from there and users can even use bently view to access the dgn and if they have raster or photo reader or viewer its all automatic... pretty could I did a big map to show above ground valve locations and types as well as photo to show what they looked like even worked on ipad so they told me later....
