Caching in MicroStation Connect Edition

Is it possible to Cache 2D design models when they are referenced into a Drawing model? I know that you can for 3D models that are referenced into a Drawing model,is also possible for 2D?

Thanks

I guess you want to lock the contents of a reference fie in 2d mode, so that it never updates, even if the master files changes.  As you mentioned in 3d this is possible via Dynamic Views.  But in 2d model this is not possible.

One option you have is to set the reference file override model to NEVER, this means that the reference file can NEVER be different to its master file.  Its not exactly what you want.

Or try what Dominic has suggested and start with a 3d file, create a DV from it ie plan and then cache the DV in the reference files dialog.
