Bentley View V8:-
I have suggested to a client that he installs Bentley View V8 edition on his machine ( in the absence of a Connect version ), he has asked me if Bentley has a tutorial for this, do we have a PDF or video tutorial?
Bentley View Connect Edition:-
Firstly, can anyone advise when the new version will be available and secondly will it have similar measuring and extended viewing capabilities i.e. will my client be able to view Display Rules etc.

Here you'll have a link to a PDF to help, and here you can see some videos regarding Bentley View.

It's under Future Consideration, so I hope we'll see something about this in a near future.

I believe we don't have to worry about this part, as this as been integrated since the origins.

We hope that when the new Bentley View comes out will have that (and more) capabilites like Bentley View Connect Edition had.
Bentley View CE is coming at the end of the year, all going to plan. It should honour all the CE functionality ie Display rules etc.
Thanks for your reply, I have since found out that my clients (oil co.) IT dept. has stopped offering Bentley View V8 as a download for their staff to use on their respective portals, instead they are using Autodesks Navisworks, shame really, as I don't think that this product is ideal for engineers and draughtsmen (client side) for obtaining accurate dimensional information. I think Bentley took their eye off the ball with the Bentley View utility.

It seems you have information that nobody else has ;-) Or did I miss some announcement?
It sounds promising!
