I often have to deal with longitudinal sections of pipe trenches where I have to enter the pipe axis heights and ground heights manually. Usually these have a 1:250 length scaled and 1:50 height scale. In order to work on them I have to scale them back to "normal" which also means that all texts are scaled to a fifth of their original width. When I open these in the text editor I can hardly see what I'm writing there. Is there a possibility to set the text editor to show normal width text? I haven't found one yet apart from reading the text in the status bar before and after editing. While typing I'm as blind as a mole.

Is it a same issue as shown in below image?
I just scaled normal text with Y axis and then edited same text, which we cannot recognize in text editor window.
Text editor should have ability to show scaled text with equal height and width value, so that we can read it. Is this your requirement?
Exactly, this is the issue.
I discussed this issue with developer and he said that this is a WAD behavior.
But if you want to edit/update that scaled Text in Text editor, then you need to set temporary equal value for height and width before updating Text and again set it to its scaled value before placing the text.
Right now, you can use above mentioned workaround.
That is NO workaround at all, this is utter bull***t.
Our workflow makes this joke of a workaround simply impossible
It seems like your developer doesn't really WORK with Microstation, does he?It also seems like Bentley is working hard on getting us users go back to V8i or even other CAD software by just calling very BASIC tasks WAD. A kick in the bottom works as designed, too. Your developer might not like it, but that's the way it works.
Hi,
There seems to be some miscommunication from our end.
The expected behavior is not currently supported in Connect. We are evaluating the issue and working with the Product Management to provide a suitable solution.
I apologize for the confusion.
