For YEARS I have wanted the ability to place a note with a line beneath the first line of text with the rest of the note underneath that line. I know a few workarounds, and ways to make something LOOK like that, but there has been no way to create that sort of element as a true note from a dimension style.
Has that ability been added to CONNECT?Could it be added?
Thank you.

You are right, CE does not allow a negative left margin. Bentley needs to fix that! What happens when you need to have your text to the left side of the leader. Our notes need to be left justified. In the screenshot when we have this setup our in-line leader must be from the bottom & the justification needs to be left. I currently use an extended in-line leader then set a negative offset for the left margin. Since this does not appear to work in CE we would need to draw a separate line to extend the in-line leader.
Why is it that with every update something that used to work no longer works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very frustrating. Then you need to wait years to get it back.

Did you ever find a resolution to this issue?
It depends on what you are talking about as there appears to be a couple of questions brought up in this post. In relation to Enhancement # 248314, "Allow multi-line text on the Place Note tool above and below the leader line", this is still listed as an item to include with our software developers. As for the negative left margin issue this would need to be looked at closer to understand whether this has been addressed since it was brought up in this post.

The issue to which I'm referring is the left margin issue. In the Dimension Styles box, Text tab, Notes area...Those fields no longer accept negative values. This is important for left justified notes, with the leader going to the right, where the last row of text is shorter than those above it. It's also important for the Lower Margin value when the underscore line needs to go between two lines of text.
Any update on this?
