Hi Guys,
can anyone please hint me on how to flatten a 2D reference in my design file. While implementing a ROTATE REFENCE command, I mistakenly snapped to a non planar Z object and it distorted the flat orientation of my reference.
I look forward to any suggestion/s
thank you
Hi Henry
One option is to setup a ACS on the Z height you wish to lock. Then use the ACS locks to prevent the issue you describe.
To setup the ACS go to the Primary tool bar and use the ACS tools. Create one and save it. Check it works, OK.
Open the Settings > Drawing Scale dialog and you will see the ACS locks

Goodstuff Ian.....but how do I make amends by flattening my 2D reference back to its planar orientation
Turn OFF the ACS lock
Can you use the Rotation property of the reference that you can see in the References dialog to set the rotation back to zero?

yes I can but i really don't see how it applies.
Above is a front view elevation. you can see the highlighted 2D reference in green is not flat like the red. see plan view below
